Eye Donation Camp

Aravani's day is celebrated on January 18th every year. Trans Genders enrolled in our project are celebrating in a way which benefits the society. They exhibit their cultural talents and also conduct various programs such as
1. Eye donation camps
2. Blood donations camps
3. Tree plantation
4. Spiritual camp - Praing for the well being of the
sick and needy people.


Capacity Building Training



The basic concept of the training program is to impart various skills such as leadership, personality development, health seeking behaviour, etc., to our peer jeevans and CCMs.




Inaguration of Aravani's

The Aravani's day was celeberated this year presided by Dr. Kumaran (Dean - Coimbatore Medical College) and Kuthuvizhakku was jointly lightered by Automaniamma on behalf of our KPs. This speech by Dr. Kumaran was in a positive approach to encourage our Kps to come up in their life and become a repecteable individuals in the society.


Legal Education To Our KPs



The basic legal knowledge is imparted to our KPs regularly by training programmes. It is conducted by Mr. Madhivanan(Advocate) who is doing a splendid work in creating awareness among our KPs who are facing harassements in their day to day life. Aaraaichimani - a concept by TAI which provides solution to the KPs with in 12 hours of the incident is a boon to our KPs.

TB/DOTS/RNTCP Training




NMCT TAI organised for a training program regarding Tuberculosis, training was given by Dr.Arivozhi, District Tuberculosis officer. It dealt with the basic knowledge regarding the incidence of tuberculosis among the MSW population, mode of transmission, inverstigation to diagnose tuberculosis, necessity of treatment, tuberculosis in HIV individual, importance of refering a case to RNTCP centres etc., The training program is conducted every six months and KPs are educated to have basic knowledge regarding tuberculosis.

NMCT TAI project was started in the year of April, 2004. The project focuses on empowering vulnerable male sex workers towards a better tomorrow. The project addresses male sex workers in Coimbatore district. The male sex workers include aravani penngal and kothis and Double-deckers. The project funded by Bill & Melinda Gates foundation through Voluntary health services.

OBJECTIVES:
  • NMCT focuses on behaviour change among sex workers.
  • NMCT workers to reduce the burden on STD's among sex workers.
  • NMCT works to reduce the issues related to their vulnerability.
  • NMCT promotes dialogue based communication for behaviour change.
  • NMCT has promoted community collectivization and CBO formation.
